A lil into the history: In 2006, burger man made their mark in the city with their burgers which had a unique taste, were easy on the pocket and made available to everyone through the 50 kiosks that opened in the city. Soon they grew and crossed the 100th mark! There was no area in Chennai that did not have a burger man kiosks! By ’09 a lot of other kiosk were replaced by random burger brand. In 2014, they shut shop.. but that ain’t the end.. someone once said ” it ain’t the ending if everything isnt right” and to do the right they are back! Burgerman is back and how!!
Located on the 4th main road of besant Nagar, very close to the Elliot’s beach, the place is hard to miss.
Done up tastefully in White, black and yellow, with Pacman as the theme the looks fabulous. The wall explaining the history of pacman is interesting and eye grabbing.
The place can seat up to 10 people on the lower level, 40+ on the first level, they also have a small outdoor seating area. The brown paper bags for lamps, the cute pacman doodles every where, the knickknacks all adds a lovely touch to the place.
Coming to food, the menu, though very small, looks very fresh. Equal importance has been given to vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. The drinks and dessert section looks impressive. But no fries!!!!!! Yes, everything on the menu is actually healthy! Wheat buns, patties are grilled instead of deep fried and the ingredients used are very fresh.
We(5 of us) were there are for lunch and almost tried everything on the menu. What we tried and loved, a brief,
For drinks we decided to go with fizzed pink lemonade and choco brownie shake. The pink lemonade was fresh and blissful. The shake was thick, rich and filling.
Coming to food, we decided to go for the kill directly and ordered a classic chicken burger, a chicken boom burger, a butter chicken burger and two of the bbq chicken burger. The buns were fresh, the filling delicious.
The bbq chicken and the butter chicken burger were my personal favorites.
Coming to dessert we ordered a Carmel popcorn and choco crunch ice cream. While the toppings were on point, the ice cream it self lacked that ommph. Can be looked into.
The service is based around a buzzer system, like spoonbill. A meal for two can come up to 600+. Given the ambience, the food, location and the whole feel, it’s totally worth it!!
I’m definitely heading back soon for a BBQ burger and a pink lemonade.
Don’t miss this one! It’s awesome!! A healthier option when it comes to curing the craving for burgers!
